Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Codeixlab ("we", "us") covering the ScreenshotX desktop app, this website and ScreenshotX Cloud (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing the app or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you can bind it to these terms.
1. Your account
You must be at least 16 and provide accurate information. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Plans and licenses
Basic is a one-time purchase that licenses the app for one person on one device at a time and includes one year of updates. You may pay to renew updates for another year. The version you have installed keeps working after the update window ends. Basic does not include ScreenshotX Cloud.
Pro is a subscription, billed annually, that includes everything in Basic, updates while subscribed, ScreenshotX Cloud storage and sharing, and teams. There is no free plan or trial.
The license is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your account, resell the app or bypass the one-device limit. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to install and use the app for your own purposes. All rights not granted are reserved.
3. Payments, renewals and refunds
Prices are shown at checkout and are processed by Stripe; taxes may apply. Pro renews automatically each year until you cancel, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We may change prices with notice before your next renewal. If a payment fails we may suspend Pro features until it is resolved. Contact us if you were charged in error or have a problem with a purchase and we will review refund requests in good faith; where the law gives you a right to a refund, it is not limited by this section.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in what you capture and upload. You give us a limited license to store, process, transmit and display it solely to run the Service for you, including serving share links you create and generating thumbnails. You are responsible for your content and for having the rights and consents needed to capture and share it, including the people and information visible in it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- upload or share malware, illegal content, content that sexually exploits minors, or content that harasses, threatens or doxxes others;
- capture or share other people's private information or screens without permission;
- attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorized access to the Service, or evade rate limits and device limits;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law allows, or use it to build a competing service;
- use Cloud storage as a general-purpose file host or content delivery network.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, and will act on valid takedown notices.
6. Teams
A team owner controls the team's files and members. Team admins can manage files uploaded by members, and members may see the team's shared media. If you leave or are removed, files you uploaded to the team may stay with the team.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and we may update the app and these terms. We will give notice of material changes; continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept them. Screen capture needs permissions you grant in your operating system, which you can revoke at any time.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or abuse the Service. On termination your right to use the app ends and your Cloud files are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Please download anything you want to keep first.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of important files.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
12. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a sale of the business. Disputes are governed by the laws of the place where Codeixlab is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and handled by the courts there, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
